 THE
GREAT ASHFIELD 2002 CD-ROM
is dedicated to the WW2 veterans of the 385th
Bomb Group, who were based at the village of Great Ashfield in Suffolk, UK. The
CD-ROM contains four albums and includes over 80 photos of the quarters and
communal buildings that were still standing at the base in 2002; the remains of
the runways and perimeter tracks, plus 1944 and 2002 aerial views of the site.
Included are the pages of the 385th's Memorial Book and images of the American
Battle Monuments Commission military cemetery at Madingly, Cambridge, UK,
together with the list of names of all of the Group's fallen who are buried or
honored there. Additionally, there is a collection of personal photos of some of
the men of the 385th during their time at Great Ashfield, kindly supplied by the
men themselves.
